I thought Obama is supposed to be "running" the generals... isn't that the way it is supposed to work?
Obama is a loser and we need to bring forward a complete progressive alternative agenda NOW.
It is a disgrace that there were liberals, progressives and people on the left who supported Obama... well, what is done is done and its time for liberals, progressives and the left to come together and place a real progressive alternative agenda that a candidate will bring into the public square in opposing Obama in the primary while making plans for a full-fledged national third party effort should that fail.
Let us remember... Obama is the one who left us stuck with Joe Lieberman who was defeated in a primary and then Obama used his "credibility" with liberals, progressives and the left to revive Lieberman's disgraceful political career. Democrats also "primaried out" Cynthia McKinney as punishment for her pro-peace, pro-labor and anti-racist stands.
Now we need to "primary out" Barack Obama... never has any politician been so deserving.
I don't understand why liberals, progressives and the left have been so slow to bring before the American people a political agenda explaining that the way to create jobs is by putting people to work solving the problems of the people paid for with funds saved from ending these dirty wars and a good hefty tax on the rich so we begin the process of redistributing the wealth.
Forget about single-payer health care. The real solution is a National Public Health Care System built upon an expanded base of VA, the Indian Health Service and the National Public Health Service... 30,000 neighborhood health care centers providing the American people with free health care while creating ten-million decent, good-paying jobs for less than what it is costing us to ring the world with over 800 U.S. military bases on foreign soil protecting Wall Street's profits abroad while Barack Obama is looking out for Wall Street's profits here at home: wars abroad; austerity at home. This has to end.
We need a National System of Public Child Care Centers and Habitat for Humanity should be expanded into a massive federal government program.
The issue isn't about the "size" of government; the issue is about what government is doing for the people.
Peace = health care + child care + adequate housing + 20,000,000 jobs.
There shouldn't even be a question about "getting America back to work" the solutions are so simple.
Issues need to be "framed," not only with "policy directives" in mind... but real "solutions" to the problems being experienced, not by statistics, but by real live human beings who require certain very basic things in life in order to be able to survive... first and foremost peace... we simply cannot continue to squander our Nation's precious human and natural resources and our finances on these dirty wars killing people across the globe and then wonder why we can't provide a quality of life for everyone here at home.
