ACLU spends $800,000.00 to staff an office with no results…

Alan L. Maki

It isn't good enough to speculate on the roles people are playing... why not ask them publicly to explain their positions... the ACLU in Minnesota is nothing but a front organization for the Democratic Party and they have yet to do anything... of any benefit for people out of their office in Bemidji. According to their own newsletter the ACLU has spent $800,000.00 to staff and maintain their "Racial Justice Task Force" in Bemidji yet where are the results?

Silence on police harassment and police killing people.

Silence on peat mining in the Big Bog.

Silence when it comes to enforcing affirmative action in the planning, construction, staffing and maintenance of the Bemidji Regional Event Center as local, state and federal politicians thimb their noses at affirmative action.

Silence on the Enbridge pipeline.

Silence on the powerline.

Silence on the right of the Warriors for Justice to be on the ballot.

Silence on fishing, hunting and gathering rights.

Silence on Treaty Rights.

Silence on the fact that the Democrats have entered into "Compacts" with corrupt tribal officials that now have over 40,000 Minnesotans, including over 8,000 Native Americans, working in smoke-filled casinos without ANY rights under state or federal labor laws at poverty wages while the absentee owners of the slot machines and table games walk away with all the profits which has resulted in worse poverty than existed before the Indian Gaming Industry came into existence.

Silence on discrimination in hiring by just about every single small and large business plus public institutions and governmental agencies in the Bemidji area.

$800,000.00 on an office and staff and not one single problem undertaken for solution and NO problems resolved.

Make no mistake; I did not err in the number of zeros I placed in this figure of $800,000.00.

It is eight-hundred thousand dollars... almost one-million dollars--- and for what?
To serve as a front for the Democratic Party and their campaign contributors from the peat mining industry, the power generating industry and that dirty, filthy corrupt Minnesota Indian Gaming Association that has spent tens of millions of dollars supporting these very politicians who are pushing through the power lines, the pipelines, the casinos paying poverty wages and treating people like dirt... Doesn't anyone find it just a little strange that every election cycle the Minnesota Indian Gaming Association spends millions of dollars and not one single Native American is sitting in the Minnesota State Legislature.

But, look who is the lobbyist for the power generating industry. Roger Moe who received tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from the Minnesota Indian Gaming Association... has anyone seen hide nor hair of John McCarthy, the head of the Minnesota Indian Gaming Association who funnels all this money to these politicians from the casino profits just once stepping forward and insisting that the politicians he is bribing do the right thing by the people in opposing any of this from the peat mining to the pipelines to the power lines? How does it happen that these politicians like Roger Moe, Mary Olson, John Persell, Brita Sailer, Rod Skoe all come down on the wrong sides of these issues while taking the money from a casino industry called the "Indian Gaming Industry?"

And it is these same casino funds which are maintaining tribal councils which are just as corrupt as the Minnesota State Legislature... surprise, surprise... it is the same casino funds, that should be going into decent wages and to alleviate poverty, that continue to be pumped into maintaining an entire system of politically corrupt politicians beholden only to a bunch of mobsters and big-business interests... tribal councils and a state legislature--- the best money can buy.

Anyone want to guess where an outfit like the Minnesota American Civil Liberties Union comes up with $800,000.00 to fund an office in Bemidji with no accomplishments or results that it can document?

Where could $800,000.00 possibly come from?

And whose interests are best served by this outfit which leads people to believe they are doing something about very serious problems but in fact all they are doing is scheming and scamming in running interference for those out to deprive people of their rights and steal more of their wealth while giving them cancers and heart and lung problems?

What a world we live in
