LTE

An example of a good Letter to the Editor recently published in the Minneapolis Star Tribune on September 7, 2010:

WAR IN IRAQ
Page not turned enough by President Obama

"Time to turn the page in Iraq," says President Obama.

Combat troops are withdrawn. However, there are still 56,000 U.S. troops in Iraq. These noncombat troops will wear uniforms and presumably will carry weapons.

As of July, there were 110,000 contractors paid by the United States, and the State Department plans to double the number of "private security forces." Not a big enough corner turned, by my observation.
