Chinese currency manipulators; no concern of mine.

@Chris; I think we both read the same article but came away with different opinions of it.

To save some time, let me refer you to something I just recently posted about these very issues on UnionBook--- one of the leaders of the Communist Party USA took essentially the same position you are taking and this was my response:

http://unionbook2.ning.com/profiles/blogs/on-the-importance-of-the

Now, as for issues concerning abuse and mistreatment of workers I am somewhat of an authority on this issue having worked with casino workers employed in the Indian Gaming Industry who are forced to work for poverty wages in loud, noisy, smoke-filled casinos without any rights under state or federal labor laws because Democrats created these "Compacts" intentionally depriving these workers of their most basic and fundamental rights, not only as workers, but as human beings.

Now, I requested from every single leader in the AFL-CIO, including Richard Trumka, who are so concerned about the rights of working people in China... to bring some pressure to bear to re-open these "Compacts" to include casino workers being protected and covered by the very same state and federal labor laws, including the NRLA as all other working people in this country.

Mind you; there are now over 350 of these casinos and related restaurants, motels, hotels, theme parks in the Indian Gaming Industry employing some two-million of your fellow American workers... please, spare me your concern for workers in China... they are not going to get any real help from you or the AFL-CIO if you can't even demonstrate a modicum of concern for your fellow workers employed under these most hideous, atrocious and Draconian conditions.

Plus, if you were really concerned about what the Chinese are doing--- rather than trying to dictate what they do with their currency in the currency markets--- a Wall Street dominated market place--- you and Richard Trumka and Leo Girard would be putting together a delegation to go to China to meet with its bankers about coming up with the funds to re-open some of these 3,700 closed mines, mills and factories as cooperative, joint ventures putting millions of our unemployed back to work.

Give me a break... Democrats are just as responsible as Republicans for this entire economic mess... and this is why the majority of your fellow workers don't even bother voting anymore.

Might I suggest, rather than pumping tens of millions of dollars into the campaign coffers of a bunch of Dumb Donkeys, what we need in this country is a labor-based peoples' party like the Canadian workers and labour movement have in their New Democratic Party.

At a bare minimum what we need is a bonafide labor caucus inside of the Democratic Party that isn't afraid to challenge Wall Street and its politicians they toss our way like this flim-flam man and con artist who is nothing but a sleazy and shrewd salesman for the insurance industry and the pharmaceutical companies who concocted this scam I call the "Health Insurance and Pharmaceutical Industry Bailout and Profit Maximization Act of 2010." As a sideline, Obama is a cheerleader for the merchants of death and destruction perpetrating these wars which are the real killers of our jobs just like they are killing people in Iraq and Afghanistan... and, in case you haven't noticed, it is working class folks doing the dying as Wall Street profits.

Cry me a river of complaints about the Chinese currency manipulators... I think I'll learn to play the violin.
